Role Summary
The main role of the Digital Business Analyst is to build the bridge between business digitalization needs and digital solutions to be implemented, to ensure that successful Digital Operations initiatives yield value and efficiency for our scientists, all the while securing delivery of structured and contextualized data.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide aligned business requirements and/or improvements for Digital Operations solutions such as Electronic Laboratory Notebooks
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate, identify requirements gaps/areas for improvement
- Coordinate to define & propose a common way forward, and drive for alignment/harmonization when there are discrepancies/divergences
- Prioritize & formalize user requirements based on business needs, ROI and technical feasibility
- Ensure the proper transmission and translation of the user requirements to the solutions developers (data mapping, workflow, etc.)
- Coordinate & monitor development, testing, issues/defects identification & fixes
- Ensure fit for purpose of Digital Operations solutions, and solution & business readiness for implementation
- Support Digital Operations solutions implementation & change management by monitoring the performance of newly implemented solutions
- Deliver process and solutions documentation, datasets and trainings
- Contribute to solutions lifecycle with change requests, impact assessment and continuous improvement
- Contribute to define Digital Operations product roadmap, customer journey product view and technology watch
Requirements Critical Competencies & Experiences:
- Experiences with digital solutions implementation in any industrial sector
- Strong experiences of business analysis, process mapping and solutions deployment in the context of digital transformation
- Hands-on experiences in lab environment of life sciences sector is an asset
- Affinity for data management (mapping, contextualization, model, etc.) is an asset
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated proactiveness, curiosity and self-reliant mindset
- Min 2 years of experience of ELN (electronic lab notebooks) implementation
- Experience with GxP environment
- Knowledge of CMC development
- reference for the knowledge/experience in IDBS or Biovia (the two ELNs currently used)
- Affinity for ELN systems for data
- Affinity for data management
- Hands-on experience with configuring template recipes in ELNs
- Understanding of IT validation and testing
- Language: English (mandatory); French (mandatory)
